Dear Friends of the PGMC,
In light of the current state of affairs with the COVID-19 restrictions and in following state, regional, and federal guidelines, the Providence Gay Men’s Chorus (PGMC) regrets to announce that we have suspended all choral activities for the remainder of our season. This means that we have cancelled our Are We There Yet? concerts which were scheduled for June.
This is a devastating loss to the PGMC. As a small non-profit chorus, we depend on our ticket sales for the majority of our income. Patrons with the ability to turn what would have been their ticket purchase into a tax-deductible donation will provide significant help in off-setting the operational losses of the PGMC. We appreciate your consideration of this option. You can make your online donation on this website or you can mail a donation to the postal address at the bottom of the page.
The decision to cancel a performance is never taken lightly. Blood, sweat and tears are invested in preparing, rehearsing, and promoting our performances. The diligent work of our artistic team, board of directors and administrative staff should be recognized while this situation has been evolving. It’s also important to recognize the hard work and dedication of our all-volunteer singing members who started preparing for this concert back in the middle of January.
We look forward to when we are (hopefully) able to reconvene and start rehearsing for our holiday 2020 concerts.
Thank you for your continued support of the PGMC. We need you and we thank you for understanding this difficult situation. Please follow us on social media and here on our website for additional information regarding our musical future.
